The variegated universe of military collecting, and specifically that of the German militaria, is, today, a passion that thousands of people share and practice all over the world.
The bibliography that deals with this subject is really vast and in some cases also very articulated. Although there are many publications on German helmets, Wehrmacht decorations and armaments, it is also true that there are very few studies and / or publications that treat the basic equipment of the Wehrmacht troop soldier, and we will talk about that.
Analyzing its evolution, characteristics and curiosities, Bevevano and Mangiavano then spoke of canteens and mess kits, that were fundamental “objects” to the German soldier’s field life!
